Our History
Golden Arable (GA) was founded in 2021 by a group of close friends from Cameroon with a shared passion for impacting their country and the world at large. Faced with the problem of food insecurity which has left several Cameroonian children severely malnourished and stunted, GA was conceived to ensure food security for thousands of Cameroonians and their communities.
GA spans across 7-hectares of land in Bimbia, situated at the East coast of Limbe sub-division, South-west Region, Cameroon. Initially, a forest with little or no accessibility, this passionate group of friends have raised funds to develop this forest into a farmland where cocoyam, yam, and plantain propagators have been built, a farmhouse constructed, and an excellent lighting system via solar panels set up. So far, about 8000 plantain suckers, 4000 yam seedlings of six varieties, and 3000 cocoyam seedlings of three varieties have been propagated, as well as 15000 pepper stems nested.
With an unparalleled determination, we hope to grow into an agribusiness company to ensure food security for the Cameroonians and the world eventually. Consistent with this, our core focus is on cultivating local crops rich in food nutrients and affordable for its population. We also hope to reduce unemployment rates among youths by creating job opportunities via GA and promoting better welfare for the Cameroonian population through sustainable agriculture.
